Terms and Conditions

The rules for using KitchenNodes: what you may do with the recipes, what the site promises, and what it does not. Written to be read rather than skipped.

Cook freely

Cook any recipe as often as you like, for anyone. Print it, save the PDF, share the link. None of that needs permission.

Ask before republishing

Copying a full recipe or a photograph onto another site needs written permission. Ask and the answer is usually yes, with credit.

Cook with judgement

Timings are a guide, not a guarantee. Ovens vary, allergies are yours to check, and your own eyes beat any number on a page.

1. Agreement to these terms

These terms apply to everyone who uses KitchenNodes at https://kitchennodes.com/. By browsing the site, reading a recipe, downloading a recipe as a PDF, leaving a comment or sending a message through the contact form, you accept the terms on this page. If any part of them does not suit you, the honest answer is not to use the site.

In these terms, "the site" means KitchenNodes and everything published on it. "We" and "us" mean the person who writes and operates the site. "You" means anyone using it. These terms sit alongside the privacy policy, which explains separately how personal data is handled.

2. Using the site

The site is free to read. You may browse it, print a recipe, save a recipe as a PDF and cook from it as often as you like, for yourself, your family, your friends or anyone you are feeding. You may share a link to any page with anybody. None of that needs permission and none of it costs anything.

You agree not to use the site in a way that damages it or spoils it for other people. That means no attempts to break into the server or the admin area, no automated scraping at a rate that affects the site for other readers, no attempts to inject code through the contact form or comments, and no use of the site for anything unlawful.

3. Recipes, cooking and your own judgement

Every recipe here is cooked and timed before it is published, but cooking happens in your kitchen, not in ours. Ovens run hotter or cooler than the number on the dial. Hobs vary in power. Pan material changes how fast a sauce reduces and how quickly a crust forms. Ingredients differ by brand, by season and by country. Timings and temperatures are a reliable guide, not a guarantee, and your own eyes, nose and thermometer always beat a number on a page.

You are responsible for cooking safely. That includes handling raw chicken hygienically, cooking poultry through to a safe internal temperature, keeping raw and cooked food separate, storing leftovers properly, and taking sensible care with hot oil, sharp knives and heavy pans. Where a recipe involves deep frying or a long braise, follow the safety notes in the method rather than improvising.

4. Allergies, diet and health

The site is written by a recipe writer, not a doctor, dietitian or nutritionist. Nothing published here is medical or nutritional advice and it must not be treated as such.

If you or anyone you are cooking for has a food allergy or intolerance, you must check every ingredient and every packaged product yourself. Manufacturers change formulations without notice, and cross contamination in a factory or a kitchen is not something a recipe page can account for. The same applies to anyone managing a medical condition, following a prescribed diet, pregnant, or cooking for very young children or elderly relatives: check with a qualified professional rather than relying on a recipe blog.

Where nutritional figures appear, they are estimates calculated from standard ingredient values. They vary with brands, portion sizes, how much fat renders out of the pan and how generously you serve. They are a rough guide only and must never be used for medical purposes.

5. Content ownership

All content on the site, including recipe text, method steps, headnotes, articles, photographs, page layouts, the logo and the design itself, is owned by KitchenNodes or used with permission, and is protected by copyright and related laws.

Recipe ingredient lists as bare facts are not something anybody can own, and nobody should pretend otherwise. The written expression around them, the method, the wording, the explanations and the photographs, is protected and belongs to this site.

6. What you may and may not do with the content

You may: cook any recipe as often as you like, including for guests; print a recipe or save the PDF for your own use; link to any page from a blog, a forum, a social post or a message; quote a short extract with clear credit and a link back to the original page.

You may not, without written permission: republish a recipe or article in full anywhere else, in print or online; copy the photographs; feed the content into a product or service that reproduces it; rewrite a post lightly and present it as original work; sell the content or include it in a paid product, course or ebook; or reproduce the site's layout and design as your own.

Permission is not hard to get. Ask at info@kitchennodes.com, explain what you want to use and where it will appear, and the answer is usually yes with credit and a link back. Translations, classroom handouts and community newsletters are almost always fine when asked about first.

7. Comments and messages you send

If comments are open on a post and you leave one, you keep ownership of what you wrote and you grant permission for it to be displayed on the site alongside the recipe. You confirm the comment is your own work and does not infringe anyone else's rights.

Comments that are abusive, defamatory, off topic, promotional, or posted purely to place a link will be removed without discussion. There is no obligation to publish or keep any comment. Photographs sent through the contact form are used to answer your question and are never published without asking you first.

8. The PDF download

Recipe pages include a button that builds a clean printable copy for your own use. That copy is for cooking from, sticking on a fridge, or handing to somebody in the same kitchen. It is not a licence to redistribute the recipe. Uploading the PDF to a file sharing site, selling it, or bundling it into a collection is not permitted under section 6.

9. Links to other websites

Recipes link out to sources, techniques, ingredients and products where it is genuinely useful. Those sites are run by other people. This site has no control over their content, accuracy, availability or terms, and a link is not an endorsement of everything that site does. Once you follow a link, their rules apply, not these ones.

10. Affiliate links and advertising

Some outbound product links may be affiliate links, meaning a small commission may be earned if you buy something after clicking. The price you pay is never affected. A commission never determines what gets recommended: if a cheap pan works better than an expensive one, the recipe says so. Paid guest posts and paid link placements are not accepted on this site at all.

11. Availability of the site

The site is provided on an as available basis. Servers go down, plugins break, hosts run maintenance and things occasionally go wrong at three in the morning. No promise is made that the site will be uninterrupted, error free or reachable at any particular moment. Pages may be edited, moved or removed without notice, and recipes are updated over time as they are re tested.

12. No warranty

The content is provided in good faith, tested before publication, and offered without warranty of any kind, express or implied. That includes any implied warranty that a recipe is fit for a particular purpose or that every detail is free of error. Where an error is found, please report it and it will be fixed, usually the same day.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, KitchenNodes is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site or from cooking any recipe published on it. That includes spoiled ingredients, an unsuccessful meal, illness resulting from undercooked or mishandled food, an allergic reaction, injury in the kitchen, or any indirect or consequential loss. You cook at your own risk and using your own judgement, exactly as you would from any cookbook.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for anything that cannot lawfully be excluded.

14. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify KitchenNodes against any claim, cost or demand arising from your misuse of the site, your breach of these terms, or content you submit through comments or the contact form.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, where the site is operated, and any dispute will be handled by the courts of Pakistan. If you are reading from another country, you remain responsible for complying with your own local laws while using the site.

16. Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated as the site changes: if advertising is introduced, if commenting is turned on or off, or if the law requires something new to be stated. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated version.

17. Severability

If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, that part is treated as removed and the rest continues to apply in full.
